The mutoscope was invented in November 21st 1894. It would view one person at a time depending at the view it is facing, typically hold 850 cards! It was patented by Herman Casler and was incredibly popular feature. It was worked on the same principle as the “Flip Book”, The Mutoscope was originally manufactured from 1895-1909. It was also cheaper and simpler than the Kinescope! The item was circular and was a feature of amusement arcades and pleasure piers in the UK.
